Seventh Annual Conference and General Meeting,
Hanoi, Vietnam, 31 July – 5 August 2008
The seventh Annual Conference and General Meeting of ASEFUAN will take place from 31st July to 5th August 2008 in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The event is organised by ASEFUAN with the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences (VASS). The conference will take place at the venue of VASS.
Programme
The theme of AGM 2008 is “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Asia”. The programme of the event is designed into 3 parts as follows:
1. Conference day: 1st August 2008
The conference day is dedicated to the theme “CSR in Asia”. Delegates will have opportunity to listen to presentations and panel discussion from relevant companies and organisations on the burning issue of “CSR in Asia”.
2. Discussions on ASEFUAN’s activities and projects: 2-3 August 2008
This is an important occasion for ASEFUAN member to review the result of ASEFUAN’s projects and activities during the last year and present a roadmap for the coming year. Also, other in-house issues of the organisation will also be discussed to assure the sustainable development of ASEFUAN.
3. Cultural programme: 4-5 August 2008
In keeping with ASEF’s University tradition, the event promises to be a rich cultural experience for all delegates. Short tours will be organised to historical spots of Hanoi, such as: Temple of Literature, Museum of Ethnology and Water Puppet show during the conference time.
Especially, a Halong bay classic cruise trip on Indochina Sails will be organised for delegates who are interested in this splendid UNESCO heritage site of Vietnam on 4-5 August 2008.
