The Twelfth ASEF University (AU12) was held in Brunei in collaboration with the Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Details of the programme were as follows:

The 12th edition of the programme brought together outstanding undergraduates to the Universiti Brunei Darussalam to engage in dialogue-sessions with experts and distinguished academics on recent developments and emerging issues in the field of environmental sustainability and sustainable forest management. Some of the topics that were discussed include the Kyoto Protocol as well as issues pertaining to conservation of forests and global warming.
